The food in China was fabulous. Every lunch or dinner consisted of many dishes- sometimes over 30 different dishes! The presentation of the food was artful, the place settings were beautiful, and the service was impeccable. Some of my favorite dishes were the whole fish dishes, all the vegetables, the eggplant in Shanghai, and the variety of Chinese dumplings. I'm afraid I couldn't brave the sea cucumber in one of the soups or the roasted pigeons with the heads attached. However, I did try a duck tongue!
